Compact insulated casing for the installation of the AFL EC Constant Flow 250 m³/h fan with 90° airflow.

AIRBOX 90 250 is designed for installations where every centimeter of space is crucial. The design allows changing the direction of the airflow by 90° while maintaining compact dimensions, simple assembly and easy service access.

The product is designed for the installation of a compatible AFL EC Constant Flow 250 m³/h radial fan. The fan, electrical connection and control are not part of the AIRBOX casing itself.

AIRBOX 90 250 offers a very interesting ratio between compact dimensions and performance. With a 10 V control signal, the tested assembly with the AFL EC Constant Flow 250 m³/h fan achieves an airflow of up to 250 m³/h with a power consumption of only 35 W.

AIRBOX 90 250 was designed and tested for use with the AFL EC Constant Flow 250 m³/h fan.

All published measurement results of airflow and electrical energy consumption were obtained using this specific fan.

The geometry of the casing, the position of the fan, the connection spigots and the overall dimensions were designed with the aim of achieving the best possible parameters specifically with the AFL EC Constant Flow 250 m³/h fan.

The AFL EC Constant Flow 250 m³/h fan can be installed in the AIRBOX 90 250 in any position.

Thanks to this, the AIRBOX 90 250 offers extraordinary flexibility in the design of heat recovery and ventilation systems. The construction is suitable for wall mounting, under-ceiling mounting, in technical rooms and in suspended ceilings.

A very elegant solution is, for example, the installation above the RECUBOX® unit in a suspended ceiling, where the air enters the AIRBOX from the bottom and then exits directly into the suspended ceiling towards the distribution box.

Thanks to the airflow at an angle of 90°, duct routing can be significantly simplified, the number of bends reduced, and at the same time, valuable space can be saved in the suspended ceiling or technical room.

In many installations, the AIRBOX 90 250 thus allows you to create a solution that would require more space, more ducts and more mounting elements with a conventional duct fan.

The result is a cleaner installation, simpler assembly and more efficient use of the available space.

Insulation against condensation and noise

The 10 mm thick synthetic rubber internal insulation reduces the risk of condensation on the casing surface while helping to dampen fan noise.

AIRBOX 90 250 is therefore suitable for use in technical rooms, suspended ceilings and residential buildings.

AIRBOX 90 250, like our RECUBOX® units, is made of high-quality polypropylene.

The connection spigots are equipped with double-lip seals for a firm and tight connection of the ducts.

Service access to the fan is via a door.

Simple mounting and flexible connection

AIRBOX 90 250 is designed for the fastest possible installation into the ventilation system.

The casing is equipped with 4 mounting brackets with 12 mm diameter holes, which allow for simple and safe attachment to the ceiling, wall or supporting structure.

Thanks to the service door, the fan is easily accessible for installation, inspection and possible replacement.

There are four spigot diameters to choose from:

Constant Flow as the basis for balanced heat recovery

The greatest advantage of the AFL EC Constant Flow 250 m³/h fan is the ability to automatically maintain the set air volume flow.

If you connect two AFL EC Constant Flow 250 m³/h fans to the same 0-10 V control signal and connect them to our RECUBOX® units, you get a modern balanced heat recovery system with very low electrical power consumption.

  • one fan provides the air supply,
  • the other fan provides the air exhaust,
  • both fans automatically compensate for changes in pressure losses,
  • the system can be controlled by a 0-10 V signal.

Such a solution is ideal for RECUBOX® modular heat recovery sets, smart homes, Loxone, Home Assistant and other building management systems.

12-year warranty on casing tightness and construction

We provide an above-standard 12-year warranty on the AIRBOX casing.

AIRBOX is made of high-quality polypropylene and joined using hot gas welding technology. The result is homogeneous, strong and long-term stable joints with no risk of corrosion.

Unlike sheet metal structures, there is no risk of corrosion, and unlike glued structures, the joints do not age due to moisture or temperature changes.

Thanks to its simple design with no moving parts, the AIRBOX is designed for long-term and trouble-free operation. We therefore provide a 12-year warranty on the tightness and mechanical integrity of the polypropylene casing.

What AIRBOX 90 250 is and isn't

AIRBOX 90 250 is a mounting and insulating casing for the installation of a compatible AFL EC Constant Flow 250 m³/h fan.

The AIRBOX itself does not contain a fan, motor, electrical components or control electronics. It is a passive mechanical element designed for integration into a ventilation system.

The selection of the fan, its mounting, electrical connection and commissioning of the resulting assembly are carried out by the customer or a professional installation company.

RECUBOX® AIRBOX 90 250 is designed as a mounting and insulating casing for the installation of the AFL EC Constant Flow 250 m³/h fan. The fan itself, electrical connection and regulation are not part of the AIRBOX delivery.
