RECUBOX® X-POOL

RECUBOX® X-POOL is a premium chemically resistant heat recovery unit designed for comprehensive air heat recovery in swimming pools, wellness centres, saunas, laboratories and industrial spaces with high humidity or the presence of mildly aggressive chemicals.

Design and material construction

The entire casing, heat exchanger, flanges, filter frame, holders and all external components are made of high-quality polypropylene (PP) – without metal parts and with maximum chemical resistance.

The material is highly resistant to:

  • chlorine and ozone in pool recirculation,
  • acids and alkalis,
  • solvents, alcohols and volatile organic compounds (VOC),
  • salt mist and corrosive humidity.

The construction uses 100% welded joints – no glued seals and no leakage points. All sealing elements are mechanically designed and are easy to replace.

Smooth hygienic walls allow easy cleaning and maintenance. The unit is designed to offer very low service requirements while maintaining a high hygiene standard.

CTU and Rekupex

Thanks to their robust construction, premium quality and maximum hygienic safety, our RECUBOX® units are part of a number of CTU projects, including the unique S.A.W.E.R. system, which UCEEB is developing for extracting drinking water from air.

Heat exchanger – RECUTECH EPOXY version

The unit is equipped with a heat exchanger in epoxy version, suitable for operation in more aggressive and corrosive environments.

  • Corrosion resistance according to ASTM B117, tested in salt solution (NaCl 5% / 35 °C) for up to 1,000 hours
  • High resistance to solvents – for example trichloroethylene (85 °C / 5 min) and tetrachloroethylene (120 °C / 30 min)
  • Technical parameters equivalent to aluminium counterflow heat exchangers without epoxy coating

Installation and maintenance

  • Fans are not part of the unit – they are installed directly into the duct system, saving space in the plant room.
  • If needed, the fans can be replaced quickly without interfering with the main unit. RECUBOX® remains intact.

Better properties than all-stainless heat recovery

Thanks to the properties of polypropylene, RECUBOX® X-POOL is, in selected applications, a very attractive alternative to all-stainless solutions. Even stainless steel may corrode over time and lose tightness in aggressive chemical environments, while a quality PP construction remains stable over the long term.

Heat exchanger sealing Mechanical sealing without adhesives
The heat exchanger is sealed in a groove without the use of adhesives or adhesive tapes, which degrade over time. The seal can be easily replaced if needed.

RECUBOX® is made from a single material using hot-gas welding technology. The result is absolutely tight joints without degradation caused by ageing.

Easy installation thanks to prepared mounting holes for threaded rods.

Large-surface filters allow the use of any filter media. In the standard version, the unit is equipped with filter media of class M5.

100% By-pass is available as a shortcut section or as an integrated version with the possibility of servo actuator control.
