RECUBOX® ERV 360 VENT-READY TOP is a compact heat recovery unit prepared for fitting with AFL EC CONSTANT FLOW fans. It represents an exceptionally durable, hygienic, and highly variable foundation for modern balanced ventilation with heat recovery in houses, apartments, and smaller commercial properties.

Custom manufacturing in the Czech Republic. We manufacture RECUBOX® units entirely in the Czech Republic according to our customers' exact requirements. We use premium-quality polypropylene materials from SIMONA AG and professional hot gas welding technology on equipment from Leister AG.

Each RECUBOX® is built as an honestly crafted technical product – with an emphasis on accuracy, airtightness, long service life, and adaptability to the specific installation.

Technology and Performance

The casing is structurally optimized for installation with AFL EC CONSTANT FLOW fans, which represent an exceptionally smart solution for modern heat recovery. Thanks to the built-in Constant Flow function, the fans automatically respond to changes in system resistance and help maintain a stable airflow, balanced pressure, low noise, and energy-efficient operation over the long term.

The unit comes fitted with a counterflow enthalpy heat exchanger featuring a thermal efficiency of up to 90% and humidity efficiency of up to 75%. The exchanger is designed with a focus on low pressure drops, contributing to quiet, economical, and efficient operation.

Performance parameters of the system with AFL CONSTANT FLOW fans:

  • volumetric airflow of 360 m³/h,
  • external pressure up to 600 Pa,
  • stable operation without complex balancing or commissioning.

A Choice of Three Enthalpy Heat Exchangers

The Enthalpy RECUBOX® ERV 360 VENT-READY TOP can be equipped with three types of enthalpy counterflow heat exchangers.

Simple Installation

The casing is pre-engineered to allow fans to be fitted very quickly and without complicated modifications. Installing the AFL CONSTANT FLOW fans is as simple as inserting them into the prepared opening and securing them in place.

All outlets and the condensate drain are designed to be reversible (mirrored), allowing you to choose the final orientation of the unit during actual installation. At the same time, the RECUBOX® can also be operated with external fans of your own design.

Regulation and Control

Controlling EC fans is very simple using a DC 0–10 V signal. The unit can be operated via:

  • a manual controller,
  • the RekupeX REX EC smart controller,
  • or a direct connection to a smart home system, such as Loxone, TapHome, or Home Assistant.

Product Delivery: The Enthalpy RECUBOX® ERV 360 VENT-READY TOP is supplied as a standalone casing without fans and without a control unit. These can be purchased separately and easily installed by the user.

Preparation for Sensors and Electrical Installation

In its standard configuration, the RECUBOX® is fully prepared from the perspective of measurement, cabling, and safe electrical installation. Thanks to well-thought-out details, the mounting of sensors, routing of cables, and connection of fans is quick, clear, and technically clean.

As a result, the unit facilitates not only the initial installation but also future servicing, modifications, and expansions of the system.

The RECUBOX® includes 4 pre-fitted holders for sensor installation. Each holder is strategically positioned in one of the primary air tracks: SUP, EHA, ETA, and ODA.

This means the unit is ready for the simple, organized installation of measurement components exactly where they are required for correct system regulation and monitoring.

Spacious Junction Box for Safe Electrical Installation

The RECUBOX® is equipped with a generously sized junction box for orderly and safe electrical connections. All wires and cables are routed into this box through tight rubber glands, which help protect the system against air and moisture infiltration.

Furthermore, threaded compression glands lead from the junction box, allowing for a hermetically sealed and mechanically robust extension of wiring to other parts of the system. The result is a clean, professional, and long-term reliable electrical solution.

100% BY-PASS

The Enthalpy RECUBOX® ERV 360 VENT-READY TOP is also available in a variant featuring a 100% mechanical BY-PASS. This sophisticated system simultaneously closes off fresh air passage through the heat exchanger while opening a large bypass channel behind it.

The main advantage is that even when the BY-PASS is active, the air continues to be filtered by the exact same filter used during standard operation through the core.

Removable BY-PASS Mechanism

The entire mechanism can be completely removed from the RECUBOX® in a single movement, just like the other components. Servicing, inspection, and cleaning are therefore exceptionally straightforward.

The mechanism is structurally engineered for the mounting of any standard actuator with a minimum torque of 5 Nm. The actuator is fastened to a pre-engineered 10 mm thick plastic plate and locked against rotation with the enclosed metric screw. Compatibility with a 14 mm diameter shaft is required.

Airtightness and Service Access

Casing airtightness is vital for highly efficient heat recovery. The RECUBOX® is equipped with heavy-duty adjustable toggle latches, which allow you to precisely fine-tune the sealing pressure of the lid. This ensures the unit does not draw in false air and operates at its maximum possible efficiency.

Thanks to its robust construction, high quality, and hygienic safety, our RECUBOX® systems are part of numerous projects by **CTU** (Czech Technical University), including the unique **S.A.W.E.R.** system being developed by **UCEEB** to extract drinking water from desert air.

12-Year Warranty on Casing Airtightness

We provide an extended, above-standard 12-year warranty on the casing airtightness of RECUBOX® units.

The casing is constructed from premium-grade polypropylene and joined using hot gas welding technology, creating homogeneous, strong, and long-term stable joints with zero risk of degradation.

Unlike constructions that utilize glued joints, sealing tapes, or combinations of differing materials, the RECUBOX® maintains its airtightness and mechanical durability even after many years of operation.

Double-Skin Design and Insulation

The insulation is hermetically sealed between two skins. In the insulated configuration, an additional 5 mm PP skin is added on top of the insulant, which drastically increases the durability and structural strength of the entire RECUBOX®.
