RECUBOX® HRV 360 VENT-READY TOP

RECUBOX® HRV 360 VENT-READY TOP is a compact non-enthalpy heat recovery unit prepared for installation of AFL CONSTANT FLOW EC fans. The TOP design with all four connection spigots pointing upwards saves space and facilitates the connection of ductwork above the unit. RECUBOX® represents an exceptionally durable, hygienic, and versatile basis for modern balanced heat recovery ventilation in family houses, apartments, and smaller commercial buildings.

Custom manufacturing in the Czech Republic. We manufacture RECUBOXY® completely in the Czech Republic according to the exact requirements of our customers. We use high-quality polypropylene materials from SIMONA AG and professional hot gas welding technology on Leister AG equipment.

Every RECUBOX® is created as an honestly crafted technical product – with an emphasis on precision, tightness, long service life, and the ability to adapt to a specific installation.

Technology and Performance

The casing is structurally optimized for installation of AFL EC CONSTANT FLOW fans, which represent an extraordinarily smart solution for modern heat recovery. Thanks to the built-in Constant Flow function, the fans automatically respond to changes in system resistance and help maintain a stable airflow, balanced pressure, low noise, and economical operation over the long term.

The unit is equipped with a counter-flow non-enthalpy heat recovery exchanger with a thermal efficiency of up to 90%. The exchanger transfers heat between the extract and supply air streams while keeping both airflows completely separated. It is designed with an emphasis on low pressure drops, which contributes to quiet, economical, and efficient operation.

Performance parameters of the system with AFL CONSTANT FLOW fans:

  • volume airflow 360 m³/h,
  • external pressure up to 600 Pa,
  • stable operation without complex balancing.

Choice of Three Non-Enthalpy Exchangers

RECUBOX® HRV 360 VENT-READY TOP can be fitted with three types of non-enthalpy counter-flow heat exchangers.

The individual variants differ in lamella material, structural execution, and price. This allows RECUBOX® to be tailored to specific project requirements – from an all-aluminum exchanger by a Czech manufacturer to durable designs with HPS lamellas.

The choice of exchanger is made during the order process.

Simple Installation

The casing is prepared so that fans can be fitted very quickly and without complex modifications. Installation of AFL CONSTANT FLOW fans is carried out by simply sliding them into the prepared opening and securing them.

All duct outlets and the condensate drain are designed symmetrically (mirrored), allowing you to choose the final orientation of the unit during actual installation. RECUBOX® can also be operated with external fans according to your own design.

Regulation and Control

Control of EC fans is very simple using a 0–10 V DC signal. The unit can be controlled, for example, via:

  • a manual controller,
  • the smart controller RekupeX REX EC,
  • or direct connection to a smart home system, such as Loxone, TapHome, or Home Assistant.

Product scope of delivery: RECUBOX® HRV 360 VENT-READY TOP is supplied with an integrated heat exchanger, but without fans and without a control unit. Fans and control unit can be purchased separately and easily installed by the user.

Preparation for Sensors and Electrical Wiring

In its basic version, RECUBOX® is also prepared for sensors, cabling, and safe electrical installation. Thanks to thoughtful details, mounting sensors, routing cables, and connecting fans is quick, clear, and technically clean.

The unit thus facilitates not only the installation itself, but also future servicing, modifications, and system expansions.

RECUBOX® includes 4 brackets for mounting sensors. Each bracket is located in one of the primary air routes: SUP, EHA, ETA, and ODA.

Thanks to this, the unit is ready for easy and organized installation of measuring elements exactly where they are needed for proper system management and monitoring.

The glands are intended for safe and clean cable routing without requiring additional interventions in the unit's structure, specifically for:

  • sensor cables,
  • fan control cables,
  • fan power cables.
RECUBOX junction box

Spacious junction box for safe electrical installation

RECUBOX® is equipped with a sufficiently large junction box for clear and safe electrical connections. All wires and cables are routed into this box through tight rubber glands that help protect the system against air and moisture ingress.

From the junction box, threaded screw glands lead out, allowing a hermetically sealed and mechanically resistant cable exit to other parts of the system. The result is a clean, professional, and long-term reliable wiring solution.

100% BY-PASS

RECUBOX® HRV 360 VENT-READY TOP is also available in a variant with a 100% mechanical BY-PASS. This sophisticated system closes the fresh air passage through the exchanger in an instant, while simultaneously opening a large bypass channel behind the exchanger.

The advantage is that even when BY-PASS is active, the air remains filtered by the same filter as during normal operation through the exchanger.

Removable BY-PASS mechanism

The entire mechanism can be completely removed from RECUBOX® in a single pull, just like the other components. Servicing, inspection, and cleaning are therefore exceptionally easy.

The mechanism is structurally prepared for mounting any servomotor with a minimum torque of 5 Nm. The servomotor is attached to a prepared 10 mm thick plastic plate and locked against rotation with the enclosed metric screw. Compatibility with a 14 mm diameter shaft is required.

Tightness and Service Access

Casing tightness is essential for efficient heat recovery. RECUBOX® is equipped with massive adjustable latches that allow fine-tuning the pressure of the lid against the seal. As a result, the unit does not draw in false air and operates with the highest possible efficiency.

Thanks to their robust design, high quality, and hygienic safety, our RECUBOXY® are part of a number of projects at the ČVUT (Czech Technical University), including the unique S.A.W.E.R. system, which UCEEB is developing for extracting drinking water from the air.

12-Year Warranty on Casing Tightness

We provide an above-standard 12-year warranty on the airtightness of the RECUBOX® unit casing.

The casing is made of high-quality polypropylene and joined using hot gas welding technology, which creates homogeneous, strong, and long-term stable joints without the risk of degradation.

Unlike designs utilizing glued joints, sealing tapes, or combinations of different materials, RECUBOX® retains its airtightness and mechanical resistance even after many years of operation.

If both fans receive the same control signal value, they automatically maintain the identical airflow volume flow. This applies even when each fan overcomes a different duct or filter resistance.

Lower Power Consumption When high output is not required, the fan does not consume power unnecessarily. The result is a more economical operation.

The insulation is hermetically sealed between two skins. For the insulated version, an additional 5 mm PP skin is added alongside the insulator, which increases the durability and strength of the entire RECUBOX®.
