HEPA FILTER BOX L CARBON

HEPA H14 duct filter box with activated carbon for HRV units and ventilation systems.

HEPA FILTER BOX L CARBON is a robust duct filter box manufactured from welded polypropylene (PP). It is designed for ventilation and heat recovery ventilation systems where a high level of air filtration is required.

The filter box is ideal for installation downstream of a heat recovery ventilation unit as an additional post-filtration stage for supply air. While most HRV units are equipped with G4, M5 or F7 filters, a HEPA H14 filter captures significantly finer particles and helps further reduce dust, pollen, aerosols and other airborne contaminants entering the indoor space.

Inside the box is a combined HEPA H14 + activated carbon filter, which captures fine particles, aerosols and allergens while also helping to reduce odors, smoke and volatile organic compounds.

Why is HEPA FILTER BOX L different?

Unlike common sheet-metal filter boxes, HEPA FILTER BOX L is made from welded polypropylene. PP does not corrode, is highly resistant to moisture and forms an exceptionally durable filter box body.

We use the same manufacturing philosophy for our RECUBOX® units – simple, robust and long-term serviceable construction without unnecessary complexity.

Key benefits

HEPA filter after HRV unit suitable as an additional post-filtration stage for supply air
Welded PP construction resistant to moisture, corrosion and long-term operation
HEPA H14 filtration captures fine particles, pollen, aerosols, bacteria and airborne particles
Activated carbon helps reduce odors, smoke and volatile organic compounds
DN100 to DN315 available with different duct connection diameters
Insulated and non-insulated versions basic version, 13 mm synthetic rubber insulation or double-wall version with 30 mm insulation

Filter box construction versions

Non-insulated version

Compact welded polypropylene box. The service cover is closed and sealed with screws. This version is suitable for standard installations without increased thermal insulation requirements.

Version with 13 mm synthetic rubber insulation

The box is externally covered with a 13 mm layer of synthetic rubber insulation. The insulation helps reduce heat losses and lowers the risk of condensation on the surface of the box. The cover is closed and sealed with screws.

Double-wall version with 30 mm insulation

Premium version with 30 mm internal insulation between two PP shells. The service cover is closed using high-quality adjustable toggle latches. This allows quick opening during filter replacement while ensuring reliable sealing.

Service access and box closure

HEPA FILTER BOX L is designed to make filter replacement simple while maintaining high air tightness. The closure system differs depending on the selected version.

Non-insulated version and version with 13 mm rubber insulation

The service cover is tightened around the perimeter with screws. This solution provides firm tightening, high air tightness and a simple construction without moving parts.

Benefit:
Maximum joint strength, simplicity and long-term reliability.

Double-wall version with 30 mm insulation

The premium double-wall version is equipped with professional adjustable toggle latches. These allow precise adjustment of the sealing pressure and very quick opening of the box without tools.

Benefit:
Fast filter replacement, adjustable sealing pressure and excellent long-term air tightness.

Adjustable sealing pressure and quick access

The double-wall version allows very fast opening of the service cover while also enabling precise adjustment of the sealing pressure.

Installed HEPA H14 + activated carbon filter

The installed dual filter combines a high-efficiency HEPA H14 filter with an activated carbon layer. This means it does not only mechanically capture fine particles, but also helps reduce odors and certain gaseous pollutants.

The filter helps capture and reduce:

fine dust PM2.5 and PM1 pollen and allergens
aerosols and airborne particles odors and smoke
volatile organic compounds common indoor air pollution
Filter type Dual Filter – HEPA H14 + activated carbon
Certification HEPA H14
Filter dimensions 337 × 360 × 42 mm
Filter weight 0.63 kg
Recommended service life 8–12 months
Compatibility HEPA FILTER BOX L

Dimensions and connection

Box dimensions without insulation 357 × 380 × 300 mm
Filter dimensions 337 × 360 × 42 mm
Connection diameters DN100, DN125, DN160, DN200, DN250, DN315
Box material welded polypropylene PP
Note:
The dimensions of insulated versions vary depending on the selected insulation type. The non-insulated version is based on the box body dimensions of 357 × 380 × 300 mm.

Measured pressure loss

HEPA FILTER BOX L has been tested for pressure loss at different airflows. The measured values help with correct fan selection and with assessing suitability for a specific installation.

Typical applications

The filter box is suitable for installations where the quality of filtered air needs to be improved beyond the standard level of G4, M5 or F7 filters.

Downstream of an HRV unit additional HEPA filtration of supply air for maximum indoor air quality
Family houses and apartments fine filtration of supply air, protection against dust, pollen and odors
Offices improved air quality in the working environment
Bedrooms and children’s rooms higher comfort for allergy sufferers and sensitive people
Rooms with odor load activated carbon helps reduce odors, smoke and selected VOC substances

Excellent product meets outstanding support and service.

I can recommend RekupeX without reservation, as I am personally very satisfied with the price-performance ratio and, above all, with the quality.

My review refers to their metal enthalpy heat exchanger.

Rolf Schernes

The RECUBOX® unit, as part of a ventilation system for heat removal from a laboratory room with a vacuum soldering furnace, is finally installed in time and does its work as planned and calculated, also thanks to the excellent support from the RekupeX team.

We no longer need any additional heating equipment for the room or for room ventilation.
