RX, RX-P and RSX-P are modern counter-flow exchangers with fins made of durable aluminum and plastic. The counter-flow exchanger is the successor to the less efficient cross-flow exchanger. The counter-flow exchanger does not transmit moisture or odors. Its efficiency exceeds 95%. It is thanks to these properties, together with the tested tightness of each manufactured piece, that it finds its use both in passive house heat recovery units and in industrial applications.

This exchanger is dimensionally identical to the recuperators in the Vaillant recoVAIR VAR 260/4, 360/4, recoCOMPACT VWL 39/5, 59/5, 79/5 heat recovery units. However, it is not an original spare part supplied and installed by the unit manufacturer, so its use is at the discretion of the RJ user.
